LPA is a small phospholipid involved in various cellular functions, including cell growth, smooth muscle contraction, platelet aggregation, wound healing, angiogenesis, tumor invasion, and cell motility. LPA transmits signals through a family of G protein-coupled receptors to initiate its biological functions.
