Specifications
Description
DLPA (1,2-Dilauroyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphate, sodium salt) is the sodium salt of a phosphatidic acid (PA) species featuring two C12 lauric acid chains. PA, a simple glycerophospholipid, is a low-abundance but potent lipid mediator. It is a fundamental component of cell membranes and is involved in numerous aspects of cell biology and physiology. PA acts as a crucial signaling hub, regulating key pathways that govern cell growth and proliferation, including the mTOR and Hippo signaling cascades, differentiation, cell transformation, and promoting tumor progression and survival.
