Product Description
The GlycoSens™ Carbonic Anhydrase (CA) Assay Kit provides a robust, high-precision analytical assay platform engineered for quantification of target carbonic anhydrase in varied biological matrices. Featuring a streamlined protocol, it delivers outstanding linearity and operational speed for routine biochemical assays.
Product Type
Other Series
Target
CA
Kit Components
Reaction Buffer; Specific Substrate; Standard; Reaction Stop Solution
Sample Types
Tissues, other biological samples
Sample Volume
10 μL - 50 μL
Detection Principle
The assay relies on the distinct spectroscopic optical characteristics of carbonic anhydrase. Upon reaction with specialized chromogenic reagents, the resulting optical density shifts measured at target wavelengths directly reflect CA content in the sample.
Detection Time
Within 2 hours
Required Equipment & Materials (Self-provided by User)
Visible Spectrophotometer or Microplate Reader, glass/quartz cuvettes, microcentrifuge, water bath/incubator, adjustable micropipettes, double-distilled water.
Storage
Store at -20°C.
Shipping Conditions
Shipped with ice packs.
Target Information
Full Name
Carbonic Anhydrase
Alternate Names
Carbonic Anhydrase; CA
Application Notes
Background
Found widely across biological samples, carbonic anhydrase (CA) is crucial for maintaining systemic homeostasis. It effectively accelerates specific biochemical transformations, ensuring the rapid progression of metabolic pathways. Assessing this component offers a reliable parameter for agricultural research or biological studies.
Application
Essential for monitoring carbonic anhydrase (CA) level shifts during molecular biochemistry, metabolic pathway flux analysis, and enzymology studies.
Key Features & Advantages
High Signal-to-Noise Ratio; Stringent Quality Control; Enhanced Sensitivity
Operating Instructions
1. Pre-Centrifugation of Vials: Prior to opening any reagent vials, perform a brief centrifugation to collect all powder or liquids at the bottom of the tubes.

2. Reagent Equilibration & Mixing: Allow all kit reagents and buffers to equilibrate to room temperature (25 °C) before initiating the assay.

3. Sample Storage: If samples are not assayed immediately, please store at -80 °C and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
For Research Use Only.
