Specifications
Product Description
The GlycoSens™ Proline (PRO) Assay Kit provides a robust, high-precision analytical assay platform engineered for quantification of target proline in varied biological matrices. Featuring a streamlined protocol, it delivers outstanding linearity and operational speed for routine biochemical assays.
Product Type
Oxidation and Antioxidant Series
Target
PRO
Kit Components
Reaction Buffer; Specific Substrate; Standard; Reaction Stop Solution
Sample Types
Cell lysates, biological fluids
Sample Volume
5 μL - 20 μL
Detection Principle
The assay relies on the distinct spectroscopic optical characteristics of proline. Upon reaction with specialized chromogenic reagents, the resulting optical density shifts measured at target wavelengths directly reflect PRO content in the sample.
Detection Time
30-60 minutes
Detection Wavelength
520 nm
Required Equipment & Materials (Self-provided by User)
Visible Spectrophotometer or Microplate Reader, glass/quartz cuvettes, microcentrifuge, water bath/incubator, adjustable micropipettes, double-distilled water.
Storage
Store at -20°C.
Shipping Conditions
Shipped with ice packs.
Target Information
Full Name
Proline
Alternate Names
Proline; PRO
Application Notes
Background
Proline (PRO) is an integral element required for robust cellular function and metabolism. It actively circulates within the biological matrix, acting as a crucial building block or signaling molecule. In addition, therefore, profiling its activity serves as a fundamental strategy for exploring complex biological phenomena.
Application
Ideal for investigating proline (PRO) activity and metabolic turnover during natural product research, growth factor signaling, and developmental morphogenesis studies.
Key Features & Advantages
Rapid Execution; Flexible Sample Inputs; Highly Reproducible Data
Operating Instructions
1. Pre-Centrifugation of Vials: Prior to opening any reagent vials, perform a brief centrifugation to collect all powder or liquids at the bottom of the tubes.

2. Reagent Equilibration & Mixing: Allow all kit reagents and buffers to equilibrate to room temperature (25 °C) before initiating the assay.

3. Sample Storage: If samples are not assayed immediately, please store at -80 °C and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
For Research Use Only.
