Specifications
Product Description
The GlycoSens™ Sucrose Assay Kit provides a robust, high-precision analytical assay platform engineered for quantification of target sucrose in varied biological matrices. Featuring a streamlined protocol, it delivers outstanding linearity and operational speed for routine biochemical assays.
Product Type
Oxidation and Antioxidant Series
Target
Sucrose
Kit Components
Substrate Mix A; Substrate Mix B; Standard; Reaction Stop Solution
Sample Types
Tissue homogenates, cell lysates, biological fluids
Sample Volume
10 μL - 50 μL
Detection Principle
The assay relies on the distinct spectroscopic optical characteristics of sucrose. Upon reaction with specialized chromogenic reagents, the resulting optical density shifts measured at target wavelengths directly reflect sucrose content in the sample.
Detection Time
Within 1 hour
Required Equipment & Materials (Self-provided by User)
Visible Spectrophotometer or Microplate Reader, glass/quartz cuvettes, microcentrifuge, water bath/incubator, adjustable micropipettes, double-distilled water.
Storage
Store at -20°C.
Shipping Conditions
Shipped with ice packs.
Target Information
Full Name
Sucrose
Alternate Names
Sucrose; Sucrose Standard; Sucrose Reagent
Application Notes
Background
The presence and activity of sucrose are closely linked to overall organismal health. Its synthesis and breakdown are tightly controlled to meet the dynamic energy demands of the organism. Therefore, profiling its activity serves as a fundamental strategy for exploring complex biological phenomena.
Application
Tailored for accurate quantification of sucrose across cell biology, organelle bioenergetics, and intracellular signaling cascades.
Key Features & Advantages
Optimized Reaction Dynamics; Rapid Reaction Protocol; Ready-to-Use Reagents
Operating Instructions
1. Pre-Centrifugation of Vials: Prior to opening any reagent vials, perform a brief centrifugation to collect all powder or liquids at the bottom of the tubes.

2. Reagent Equilibration & Mixing: Allow all kit reagents and buffers to equilibrate to room temperature (25 °C) before initiating the assay.

3. Sample Storage: If samples are not assayed immediately, please store at -80 °C and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
For Research Use Only.
