Biotin-PG

This compound is a biotin conjugate of phosphatidylglycerol (PG), a ubiquitous but minor constituent of most cellular membranes, typically comprising 1-2 percent of total lipids. PG also functions as an effective carrier molecule for delivering therapeutic agents, such as ceramides in studies of cardiolipin synthesis. The biotin moiety allows for easy detection and tracing.
