Biotin-PS

This product is a biotin-conjugated analog of phosphatidylserine (PS), a vital anionic aminophospholipid. PS is normally sequestered to the inner, cytosolic-facing leaflet of the plasma membrane. Its rapid externalization to the outer leaflet is a signature event of early apoptosis, providing a critical recognition signal for phagocytes. This process is the foundational mechanism for common apoptosis detection kits, which rely on the high-affinity binding of Annexin V to externalized PS.
