The GlycoSens™ Phosphoglucomutase (PGM) Assay Kit provides a robust, high-precision analytical assay platform engineered for quantification of target phosphoglucomutase in varied biological matrices. Featuring a streamlined protocol, it delivers outstanding linearity and operational speed for routine biochemical assays.
Product Type
Carbohydrate Metabolism Series
Target
PGM
Kit Components
Extraction Buffer; Reaction Reagent A; Reaction Reagent B; Standard
Sample Types
Tissues, other biological samples
Sample Volume
5 μL - 20 μL
Detection Principle
The assay relies on the distinct spectroscopic optical characteristics of phosphoglucomutase. Upon reaction with specialized chromogenic reagents, the resulting optical density shifts measured at target wavelengths directly reflect PGM content in the sample.
Detection Time
30-60 minutes
Required Equipment & Materials (Self-provided by User)
Visible Spectrophotometer or Microplate Reader, glass/quartz cuvettes, microcentrifuge, water bath/incubator, adjustable micropipettes, double-distilled water.
Storage
Store at -20°C.
Shipping Conditions
Shipped with ice packs.
Target Information
Full Name
Phosphoglucomutase
Alternate Names
Phosphoglucomutase; PGM
Application Notes
Background
The presence and activity of phosphoglucomutase (PGM) are closely linked to overall organismal health. Its enzymatic activity is finely tuned to environmental cues, reflecting the overall metabolic capacity. As a result, accurate quantification of this target is essential for uncovering underlying pathological and physiological mechanisms.
Application
Widely applicable for tracking phosphoglucomutase (PGM) fluctuations across agricultural biotechnology, crop growth regulation, and physiological stress responses.
1. Pre-Centrifugation of Vials: Prior to opening any reagent vials, perform a brief centrifugation to collect all powder or liquids at the bottom of the tubes.
2. Reagent Equilibration & Mixing: Allow all kit reagents and buffers to equilibrate to room temperature (25 °C) before initiating the assay.
3. Sample Storage: If samples are not assayed immediately, please store at -80 °C and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
