Specifications
Description
Palmitoyl-DHAP (1-Palmitoyl-dihydroxyacetone phosphate) is an intermediate compound formed when dihydroxyacetone phosphate (DHAP) is acylated by specific acyltransferases using fatty acids. This resulting product is further converted to lysophosphatidic acid (LPA) via reduction by acyltransferases. Recent findings indicate elevated levels of Acyl-DHAPs in human tumors and cancer cell lines, leading to the formation of phosphocholines such as 1-Palmitoyl-2-linoleoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine (PLPC).
