Specifications
Product Description
The GlycoSens™ Citrate Synthase (CS) Assay Kit provides a robust, high-precision analytical assay platform engineered for quantification of target citrate synthase in varied biological matrices. Featuring a streamlined protocol, it delivers outstanding linearity and operational speed for routine biochemical assays.
Product Type
Oxidation and Antioxidant Series
Target
CS
Kit Components
Assay Buffer; Enzyme Mix; Developer Solution; Standard; Reaction Stop Solution
Sample Types
Tissue homogenates, cell lysates, biological fluids
Sample Volume
10 μL - 50 μL
Detection Principle
The assay relies on the distinct spectroscopic optical characteristics of citrate synthase. Upon reaction with specialized chromogenic reagents, the resulting optical density shifts measured at target wavelengths directly reflect CS content in the sample.
Detection Time
Within 1 hour
Required Equipment & Materials (Self-provided by User)
Visible Spectrophotometer or Microplate Reader, glass/quartz cuvettes, microcentrifuge, water bath/incubator, adjustable micropipettes, double-distilled water.
Storage
Store at -20°C.
Shipping Conditions
Shipped with ice packs.
Target Information
Full Name
Citrate Synthase
Alternate Names
Citrate Synthase; CS; Citrate Synthase Standard; Citrate Synthase Reagent
Application Notes
Background
Functioning at the core of various biological processes, citrate synthase (CS) is a key subject of biochemical analysis. By catalyzing the covalent linkage of its substrates, it supports intracellular synthesis requirements. Notably, assessing this component offers a reliable parameter for agricultural research or biological studies.
Application
Specifically engineered for evaluating citrate synthase (CS) dynamics in plant physiology, stress adaptation signaling, and cellular homeostasis research.
Key Features & Advantages
High Specificity; Rapid Reaction Protocol; Ready-to-Use Reagents
Operating Instructions
1. Pre-Centrifugation of Vials: Prior to opening any reagent vials, perform a brief centrifugation to collect all powder or liquids at the bottom of the tubes.

2. Reagent Equilibration & Mixing: Allow all kit reagents and buffers to equilibrate to room temperature (25 °C) before initiating the assay.

3. Sample Storage: If samples are not assayed immediately, please store at -80 °C and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
For Research Use Only.
