Biotin-PE

This biotinylated phosphatidylethanolamine (PE) is a functionalized derivative where the biotin group is covalently linked to the phospholipid structure. PE is a major structural component, synthesized predominantly via the CDP-ethanolamine pathway, and comprises a significant proportion of total membrane lipids. It is preferentially localized in the inner leaflet of eukaryotic cell membranes and is abundant in bacterial membranes.
