Specifications
Product Description
The GlycoSens™ Lysozyme (LZM) Assay Kit provides a robust, high-precision analytical assay platform engineered for quantification of target lysozyme in varied biological matrices. Featuring a streamlined protocol, it delivers outstanding linearity and operational speed for routine biochemical assays.
Product Type
Basal Metabolic Series
Target
LZM
Kit Components
Reaction Buffer; Specific Substrate; Standard; Reaction Stop Solution
Sample Types
Tissues, other biological samples
Sample Volume
5 μL - 20 μL
Detection Principle
The assay relies on the distinct spectroscopic optical characteristics of lysozyme. Upon reaction with specialized chromogenic reagents, the resulting optical density shifts measured at target wavelengths directly reflect LZM content in the sample.
Detection Time
Within 1 hour
Required Equipment & Materials (Self-provided by User)
Visible Spectrophotometer or Microplate Reader, glass/quartz cuvettes, microcentrifuge, water bath/incubator, adjustable micropipettes, double-distilled water.
Storage
Store at -20°C.
Shipping Conditions
Shipped with ice packs.
Target Information
Full Name
Lysozyme
Alternate Names
Lysozyme; LZM
Application Notes
Background
Functioning at the core of various biological processes, lysozyme (LZM) is a key subject of biochemical analysis. By serving as a metabolic node, it integrates diverse biochemical inputs into unified physiological responses. Thus, accurate determination using this assay supports advanced exploration in biochemistry and molecular biology.
Application
Essential for monitoring lysozyme (LZM) level shifts during molecular biochemistry, metabolic pathway flux analysis, and enzymology studies.
Key Features & Advantages
Rapid Execution; Flexible Sample Inputs; Highly Reproducible Data
Operating Instructions
1. Pre-Centrifugation of Vials: Prior to opening any reagent vials, perform a brief centrifugation to collect all powder or liquids at the bottom of the tubes.

2. Reagent Equilibration & Mixing: Allow all kit reagents and buffers to equilibrate to room temperature (25 °C) before initiating the assay.

3. Sample Storage: If samples are not assayed immediately, please store at -80 °C and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
