The GlycoSens™ Polyphenol Oxidase (PPO) Assay Kit provides a robust, high-precision analytical assay platform engineered for quantification of target polyphenol oxidase in varied biological matrices. Featuring a streamlined protocol, it delivers outstanding linearity and operational speed for routine biochemical assays.
The assay relies on the distinct spectroscopic optical characteristics of polyphenol oxidase. Upon reaction with specialized chromogenic reagents, the resulting optical density shifts measured at target wavelengths directly reflect PPO content in the sample.
Detection Time
Within 1 hour
Detection Wavelength

Required Equipment & Materials (Self-provided by User)
Visible Spectrophotometer or Microplate Reader, glass/quartz cuvettes, microcentrifuge, water bath/incubator, adjustable micropipettes, double-distilled water.
Research highlights polyphenol oxidase (PPO) as a significant participant in key metabolic and regulatory cascades. It accelerates targeted redox reactions that are fundamental for stress response and metabolic adaptation. Furthermore, consequently, robust measurement of this parameter is highly beneficial for comprehensive functional profiling.
Application
Optimized for high-throughput profiling of polyphenol oxidase (PPO) in functional metabolomics, secondary metabolite profiling, and environmental adaptation research.
Key Features & Advantages
Robust Assay Design; Easy-to-Follow Protocol; Versatile Application Range
Operating Instructions
1. Pre-Centrifugation of Vials: Prior to opening any reagent vials, perform a brief centrifugation to collect all powder or liquids at the bottom of the tubes.
2. Reagent Equilibration & Mixing: Allow all kit reagents and buffers to equilibrate to room temperature (25 °C) before initiating the assay.
3. Sample Storage: If samples are not assayed immediately, please store at -80 °C and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
