Datasheet Request COA
Specifications
Product Description
Immobilized ficin (agarose resin) achieves hinge region cleavage of mouse IgG1 by immobilizing a cysteine protease obtained from fig tree latex on beaded agarose. This resin provides a method for the efficient production of F(ab')2 and Fab fragments, avoiding autolysis and protease contamination, and eliminating the need for enzyme removal after digestion.
Synonyms
Immobilized ficin; Ficin agarose resin; Ficin agarose gel; Immobilized ficin agarose resin

Form
Liquid
Storage
Store at 2-8°C for long term storage.
Application
Application
Immobilized ficin (agarose resin) is used to cleave mouse IgG1 to generate Fab or F(ab')2 fragments with higher yield and immunoreactivity while reducing autolysis and protease contamination. It also provides thermal stability and long-lasting activity, making it suitable for fragmentation of different classes and subtypes of antibodies.
