GlycoFlux™ Human SIGLEC8 Overexpression Glycoengineered Cell (CAT#: GLJF-0925-JF122)

Datasheet

1 M cells/vial*2

Description GlycoFlux™ human SIGLEC8 overexpression glycoengineered cell is a stable cell line that constitutively overexpresses SIGLEC8, a CD33-like ITIM-containing receptor implicated in eosinophil/mast-cell regulation. The system facilitates ligand mining for SIGLEC8, evaluation of inhibitory signaling cascades via SH2 phosphatases, and modeling of O-glycan/sialyl-T motifs to guide anti-allergy and anti-inflammation therapeutic design.

Handling Notes Upon receipt, this product must be immediately transferred from dry ice to liquid nitrogen (-150°C to -190°C) and stored in a liquid nitrogen tank. Cell viability is critically dependent on proper handling. We cannot guarantee viability if these instructions are not strictly adhered to.
Product Disclaimer This product is provided for research only, not suitable for human or animal use. Due to the inherent limitations of infectious agent testing, investigators must exercise extreme caution when handling cells provided by Creative Biolabs, treating all cells as potentially biohazardous.
Target SIGLEC8
Full Name Sialic Acid Binding Ig Like Lectin 8
Alternative Name SAF2; SIGLEC-8; SIGLEC8L; Sialic Acid Binding Ig Like Lectin
Location 19q13.33-q13.41
Gene ID 27181
Summary Sialic acid-binding immunoglobulin (Ig)-like lectins, or SIGLECs (e.g., CD33 (MIM 159590)), are a family of type 1 transmembrane proteins each having a unique expression pattern, mostly in hemopoietic cells. SIGLEC8 is a member of the CD33-like subgroup of SIGLECs, which are localized to 19q13.3-q13.4 and have 2 conserved cytoplasmic tyrosine-based motifs: an immunoreceptor tyrosine-based inhibitory motif, or ITIM (see MIM 604964), and a motif homologous to one identified in signaling lymphocyte activation molecule (SLAM; MIM 603492) that mediates an association with SLAM-associated protein (SAP; MIM 300490).
