Introduction Workflow Services Highlights Related Glycoarray Solutions Supports Related Services

At Creative Biolabs, we're providing a cutting-edge glycan microarray service, and we built this platform specifically to meet the growing demands researchers face in glycobiology. We understand that glycans play critical roles in countless biological processes, including immune regulation and pathogen recognition. That's why our glycan microarrays are designed to give researchers the power to conduct high-throughput screening. Using our service, you can explore intricate carbohydrate interactions smoothly and accurately – getting the precision-driven results needed to advance your work.

What Are Glycan Microarrays at Creative Biolabs?

Glycan microarray makes it possible for you to understand the specific interactions between glycans (complex carbohydrates) and their binding targets, which could be proteins, antibodies or any other type of biomolecule. To do this, our microarray service first prints hundreds of different glycans in a defined spot onto glass slides, generating an array. When your sample (serum, cell lysate or purified protein) is added to the array, we incubate it on the slide and use fluorescent probes to detect exactly which glycans your molecules are binding to. For scientists, this platform opens up the glycome so you can quickly screen thousands of potential interactions in a single experiment and determine which glycans bind to a given protein. The microarray system thus offers two key benefits: It reveals the exact specificities of glycan-binding proteins and also helps you understand how glycans contribute to biological function.

How Does a Glycan Microarray Work?

The process of creating and analyzing glycan microarrays involves several key steps:

  1. Synthesize or extract glycans before immobilization (optional)
  2. Glycans are immobilized onto a solid surface (typically glass slides)
  3. Incubation with the sample (GBPs, antibodies, or other molecules of interest) and fluorophore-labeled reagents
  4. Scanning to detect the binding of the fluorophore to the glycan-binding proteins
  5. Data Analysis to find the glycans' binding affinity to the sample.
  6. Results Presentation for informed decision-making in your next phase of research (optional)
