As a contract development and manufacturing organization, Creative Biolabs is dedicated to providing high-quality and cost-effective in vivo PK study services for our global customers. Based on years of experience and advanced technology, now we can provide metabolite identification and profiling service to characterize drug candidates’ metabolites.

Importance of Metabolite Identification and Profiling

As we all know, a drug will be eliminated either by excretion or by metabolizing to one or more metabolites after taken for a certain time. Those drugs undergoing metabolism may produce pharmacologically active or chemically reactive metabolites which can produce unexpected effects or potential toxicities. Moreover, the study of metabolite identification can offer important information on which species is most similar to human and thus facilitate the selection of suitable animal species for toxicity studies. Therefore, understanding which metabolites are likely to be formed in vivo plays a key role in new drug research and development.

Metabolite Identification and Profiling Provided by Creative Biolabs

Classical methodologies for metabolite identification and profiling have mainly been based on mass spectrometry (MS) coupled with gas chromatography (GC) or liquid chromatography (LC). What’s more, some other techniques are used as complementary approaches for the study, such as nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR). Over the past decade, more and more newly emerging techniques or technologies have been applied to metabolite identification, and are making the procedure easier and more robust, such as LC-NMR-MS, ion mobility MS, ambient ionization techniques, and imaging MS. Based on our cutting-edge platform, Creative Biolabs offers a comprehensive service for the isolation, analysis, and identification of metabolites in biological matrices through various methods including but not limited to:

  • Radiometric profiling
  • LC-MS and LC-MS/MS
  • GC-MS and ion trap MS
  • HPLC/UPLC

Advantages

  • Extensive experience in in vivo ADME studies
  • Short duration and competitive price
  • Advanced platforms to perform pharmacokinetic assays

Creative Biolabs is dedicated to offering the most high-quality and cost-effective in vivo PK services for global customers. In addition to metabolite identification and profiling services, we also offer other In vivo ADME services listed below:
