Creative Biolabs is a pioneer in drug discovery, providing the most comprehensive list of drug discovery services all over the world. Based on the advanced functional analysis platform, Creative Biolabs can provide customized digital imaging services using radioautography technique.

Radioautography (RAG) is a technique designed to show the pattern of the positioning of miscellaneous compounds labeled with radioactive isotopes (RI) in specimens. The physical techniques using RI-labeled compounds and the histochemical techniques are employed by RAG. Besides, the histochemical techniques deal with tissue sections via coating sections including RI-labeled precursors with photographic emulsions and disposing exposure. By using RAG, both the insoluble compounds tied to the macromolecules and the soluble compounds propagating in the cells and tissues can be demonstrated. In biological and medical research, the specimens of this technique are commonly cells and tissues containing radioactive substances, however, in natural sciences that are always plants, animals, and minerals.

Micro-autoradiography

Micro-autoradiography (MARG) is a qualitative tool to study dimensional positioning of radio-marked drugs at the cellular level with a high resolution in histological samples. MARG is particularly adept in offering insight regarding localization of receptor-bound and soluble drug-derived radioactivity in situ in many cell types. Furthermore, it has fatidic value for specific drug targeting. Generally, such technique can demonstrate both soluble and insoluble compounds by utilizing cryosectioning, freezing, freeze-drying, and application of films. MARG has been diffusely applied to offering crucial information on cellular mechanisms and has applications in all areas of science, especially in pharmacology, toxicology, drug metabolism, and molecular biology.

Quantitative Whole-body Autoradiography

Quantitative whole-body autoradiography (QWBA) utilizing phosphor imaging technology has reformed the dealing drug distribution research by offering high-resolution images of the special drug allocation. The most significant advantage of QWBA is the restrained processes that maintain tissue concentrations reflected the in vivo condition at the time point of euthanasia, which cannot be offered by any other techniques at present.

Electron Microscopic Radioautography

Radioautography combined with electron microscopic techniques has been used to probe the distribution at the subcellular level. The technique enables to be divided into two labels, cryo-fixation which is commonly suitable for any compounds and chemical fixation which is restrained in only application to insoluble compounds.

Creative Biolabs has focused on digital imaging studies for years, with the professional and experienced scientists hammering at drug discovery, our team is confident in providing incomparable digital imaging services using radioautography technique to meet every client's demands.
