Molecular Mechanism of Action | Our Caspase-2 Assay Kit, Colorimetric offers a simple and convenient method for assessing the activity of caspases 2. It is based on the cleavage of a labeled substrate by Caspase-2 protease, resulting in the release of p-nitroaniline (pNA). The concentration of pNA, which has a maximum absorbance at 405 nm, can be measured using a microplate reader or spectrophotometer. This allows for the calculation of caspase-2 activity through absorbance values or a standard calibration curve prepared with the pNA Dye Standard. |
