PathSpecific™ Caspase 5 Assay Kit, Fluorometric (CAT#: ZL-1122-WR10)
| Overview | |
|---|---|
| Description | The kit can be utilized to assess the enzyme activity of caspase 5 in cellular lysates and tissue extracts. |
| Features | Ready-used for enzyme activity assay. |
| Applications | Kit is used to study the Caspase 5 protease in biological samples. |
| Application Notes | The kit provides a simple and convenient method for assaying the activity of caspases that recognize the sequence WEHD, allowing for quantification of caspase activity in various biological samples. |
| Molecular Mechanism of Action | The substrate used in the assay, WEHD-AFC, allows spectrophotometric detection by emitting blue light (peak wavelength of 400 nm). Once cleaved by caspase 5 or similar substances, the AFC molecule releases a yellow-green fluorescence (peak wavelength of 505 nm). This emission can be measured using a fluorometer or a fluorecence microplate reader. |
