PathSpecific™ Caspase-8 Assay Kit, Colorimetric (CAT#: ZL-1122-WR11)
| Overview | |
|---|---|
| Description | The kit is used to analyze the caspase 8 activity in serum, plasma, and other biological samples. |
| Features | Ready-used for enzyme activity assay. |
| Applications | Kit is used to study the Caspase 8 protease in biological samples. |
| Application Notes | The kit provides a simple and convenient method to accurately measure the activity of caspase 8 in cell lysates, utilizing the recognition of the Ile-Glu-Thr-Asp (IETD) sequence. |
| Molecular Mechanism of Action | The assay measures Caspase 8 activity by detecting the cleavage of the substrate IETD-pNA, resulting in the release of p-nitroanilide (pNA) that can be quantified using a spectrophotometer or a microtiter plate reader at OD 400 - 405 nm. Comparing the absorbance of pNA between apoptotic and control samples enables the determination of the fold increase in Caspase 8 activity. |
