| Molecular Mechanism of Action | Chymase can cleave the synthetic substrate N-Succinyl-Ala-Ala-Pro-Phe-p-nitroanilide to release the chromophore p-nitroaniline (pNA), which can be measured at 405 nm. Chymase will cleave the substrate and release the chromophore pNA, which can be measured at 405nm using a spectrophotometer or a microtiter plate reader. This can then be quantified to ascertain the activity of chymase in the sample. |
