Target/DescriptionKLK12 is a protein encoded by the KLK12 gene in humans. It belongs to the kallikrein subgroup of serine proteases and has various physiological functions in many body tissues. The expression of KLK12 is found to be downregulated at the mRNA level in breast cancer tissues, while it is upregulated by steroid hormones in both breast and prostate cancer cell lines.
