| Target/Description | The SetDB1 Assay kit uses a highly precise antibody to detect the methylated K9 residue of Histone H3. Using a simple three step process on a microtiter plate, the kit aids in the detection of methyltransferase activity. Initial incubation with S-adenosylmethionine and the enzyme is followed by introduction of the primary antibody and subsequent treatment with an HRP-tagged secondary antibody. The ensuing chemiluminescence, which can be measured using a reader, indicates the presence of the enzyme. |
