| Target/Description | Ubiquitin-specific peptidase 2 (USP2) is a member of a diverse group of ubiquitin-specific proteases with the capability of cleaving ubiquitin from other proteins. These enzymes are alternatively known as deubiquitinating peptidases, deubiquitinases (DUBs), ubiquitin proteases, ubiquitin hydrolases, or ubiquitin isopeptidases. Their role involves modulating the ubiquitin signaling pathway by counterbalancing the signals generated by ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes and ligases. |
