| Target/Description | This assay uses a cell-permeable fluorogenic probe called DCFH-DA, which enters cells and is converted by cellular esterases into the non-fluorescent DCFH. When reactive oxygen species (ROS) are present, DCFH is oxidized to form the highly fluorescent DCF. The fluorescence emitted is measured using a standard fluorometric plate reader. |
